David Mayes, moved to the Okanagan in 2005, and acquired Complete Home Energy Ltd., a home renovation company established in 1978. David recognized the importance and value of focusing on “energy efficiency,” and made this the key emphasis of the company. He is committed to helping homeowners improve the comfort of their homes, and reducing their energy costs. He is also committed to the improvement and protection of our fragile global environment.
Before acquiring Complete Home Energy, Ltd., David was employed by New Zealand Trade & Enterprise, a government agency. In numerous visits to New Zealand, David had a unique opportunity to observe the Kiwis' national commitment to a “clean and green” economy and lifestyle, and the economic benefits they derive from their commitment to the environment. David believes that in a small way he is helping to develop those same benefits for the Okanagan. Complete Home Energy, Ltd. is an Okanagan owned and operated company, whose goal is to benefit the local community by contributing to its economic growth. We use only Canadian products wherever possible.
Mr. Mayes’ experience with founding and managing his own companies began early in his career, with 01 Computers Group (UK) Limited, which he founded in London with a British business partner. He also has twenty-five years experience in global business development with a variety of Silicon Valley high tech companies. Mr. Mayes immigrated to Canada in 1987, and held a senior executive position with Mobile Data International, a publicly traded B.C. company, which was later acquired by Motorola Canada, Ltd. David maintains a network of contacts in the venture investment community, focusing on the growing interest in investment in renewable energy technologies.
